EPL: Alex Iwobi has been nominated for POTM

Due to his outstanding play for the Toffees in September, Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi has been nominated for the Premier League's Player of The Month award.

Iwobi will face Philip Billing of Bournemouth, Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City, Jacob Ramsey of Aston Villa, Marcus Rashford of Manchester United, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg of Tottenham Hotspur.

The 25-year-old Nigerian has been in outstanding form for the Toffees this season and is presently training with the Eagles in Oran in preparation for their friendly match against Algeria.

In a new, deeper central-midfield position, he has drawn attention. He first assisted Everton in holding Liverpool to a scoreless draw before assisting a goal against West Ham that gave the Toffees their first victory of 2022–23. Iwobi is in the running to win the prize for the first time in his career thanks to his performances.
