The Verizon DBIR 2026 report shows 69% of organizations refusing to pay extortionists, which is up from last year!
This is great news as the more victims deny attackers their goals, it creates a long-term deterrence effect. However, in the short term, it will drive criminals to be more extreme in their actions to compel victims to pay.
We must stay strong and be prepared when ransomware strikes.

Great add by Wurk. Jobs ran like a lot like contests already but there was no way to rank the quality of submissions aside from scores (community and ratings) and tips. This update gives you the ability to explicitly reward on the ranking. Means you can run contests as contests and run your other jobs as pure jobs. I'll be adjusting my job creating strategy accordingly.

You need to take everything a16z says with a HUGE grain of salt these days due to the validation and support they're giving to some of the worst crypto scams in history which are being enabled by the Trump administration. That said, they are reliably pretty deep thinkers in crypto and (IMO) they've been mostly right about most trends. Always worth reading even if you can't trust anything to do with regulation or specific companies/protocols.
