I always get a warm and fuzzy feeling inside when I see rival cybercriminal organizations undermining each other! The infamous ShinyHunters criminal group hacked the Russian CLOP group’s darkweb site, claims to have stolen data and is demanding a massive ransom.
As a cybersecurity professional, I like to see rival cybercrime groups attack each other, undermine their dangerous tools, and consume their time. The more focus they place on each other, the less they have for targeting everyone else!
This string of AI sandbox breakouts reflects poorly on the state of overall cybersecurity of these frontier AI developers. If they can't secure their AI during testing, how can they manage the risks of these AI models in the wild?
