Spammers - listen up.

Got you didn't I? Do you see what I wrote in the title? Because I want to catch some of ya'all that read the title and comment without reading the content. So I can report you out. Kidding, maybe.

I have been writing here for quite sometime now, although not much, but enough to know some of you don't even bother to read - hence, I classified you as a spammer who tries to game the bulb ecosystem. This space is filled with potential, and I'm not about to let Bulb goes to shamble because bunch of you spammers are lazy to learn how to read in English. I can, so you can too. Simple as that.

But, before you judge me, read on. Following my old article - WHY, and as you would understand my stance on bad things in crypto, I absolutely despised bad actors who tries to game the crypto space. Not only they bring bad name to the industry, they exposed the dark side of being a human. The one and only - THE COMPULSIVE NEEDS TO TAKE THE EASY ROUTE. Not only it is truly unfair towards people who are trying in their earnest to build their wealth, but it damages projects before some of them could potentially take off.

To be honest with you lot, nothing about what these bad actors doing are actually easy. It takes effort to do the scummy stuff - it takes energy to type and copy pasting into the net. Why not use that energy to create an honest content instead? After all, doing things in the earnest elevate your sense of success and more. Maybe it is just me, but I feel these bad actors are really bad at thinking. In crypto sadly, human beings who lacks the ability to think and lazy to do attitude are the worst kind of crypto users. They usually end up as E-Beggars, spammers, scammers, and thieves. The lowlife of loot hunters - with laptops and smart phones. Although their intelligence are seriously questionable.

As I am sitting over here writing about crypto bad actors, Bulb is getting its platform gamed by this very type of people. Their numbers could range from hundreds, to thousands of them. Potentially could be more than 25K accounts. If you ask me, that parameter alone could sway this platform into a spam-filled web category. That is very bad - and the very reason why I do everything I can as a user to report them.

To be truly blunt, if I have the energy, I would just sit here all day reporting them. Because honestly, there's no point of talking directly to these people. They just simply do not care about you. They are a waste of breath whom are not willing to take action in their lives to be genuinely better even for a second. They are plague level threat, that flood over a platform, get the free stuff, make their money, and leave when these place are no longer spam-able. Rinse and repeat. More often than not, the projects plague by these type of people end up being a low quality project with no feasible future. It saddens me. Truly.

Good news for Bulb

I have been in crypto for quite sometime and have seen my fair share of many projects become successful, I too bear witness to failed ones. Some failed projects are bigger than others, but ultimately crumbled at the might of spammers when being left alone without any effort to deal with them directly. Bulb has taken the pre-emptive action to mitigate this problem from becoming more worst than it is. I expect nothing less from this team truly, they deserve all the credits for being pro-active. If some of you did not paid any attention, In proximity future new and existing user will have to use 2.5K in total of Bulb token to unlock their account's ability to comment and write article in the platform. This will work for sure, and as everything else in life, it comes with pros and cons. That is just my opinion, don't take my words for it, we shall see how it goes.

**** You can read more about that plan update here: Month in review March 2024. ****

The Good

The good thing is that, if the spammer think that 2.5K is worth losing just to spam comment and write scammy article, they will spend it. Only to get themselves banned again in the future. One of us reporter will get them somehow, and this will force them to think twice about trying to spam again in the future. Instead of that, they might just want to do honest work. I'm telling you this, spammer, if you're reading this. You'll earn better with just one earnest account, than having multiple sets of accounts that is going to get ban in the future. Or you could just leave this space alone, and let other genuine and earnest user get their share of fair delicious cake that is Bulb. Unlocking and Staking maybe the right way of phasing out spammer as you can read from @HattyHats article on a SOFI project in Polkadot ecosystem here: Grill. Doing it right, for their community - applaudable.

The Bad

2.5K for the ability to comment and write article might not be that much for us existing user, but in future that 2.5K could may as well meant that is worth 2.5K USD (if Bulb's price is 1 USD each!). Of course this is not a logical way of thinking about it as if the price of Bulb increase, the amount of Bulb needed to unlock the account's capability will be reduced. But honestly, it is still a fact that every new user need to pay before they could start using this platform and that is a PAYWALL. It can, work as a deterrent for massive adoption. To read, however, it is still free and I supposed that is good for those who just wish to read around here.

This work two ways though, it is not always good to have massive amount of free users that care more about free tokens around, because free users do not care about the well being of the project's tokenomic. It could also leave the account with tons of ghost accounts who are not active, since its free, it is easy take the full potential of this platform for granted. Having them to spend, and therefor having skin in the game, would void the possibility of spammers and silly ghost accounts lying around creating fake counts of activities and platform parameters. In the eyes of investors, it shows high level of desolation and that is bad impression. Nothing is ever free, I add to that. You want good things, like Bulb tokens, you have to pay.

To be purely subjective, the good will out number the bad and thus I'm all in for it.

My honest thought

No matter how you look at it, projects that actively working to increase their product's quality will win at the end. No ifs and buts, just is. Good products will attract user. Great products however will convert them to loyalist - The best type of users/customers.

Heed my warning dear spammers, for this space will be void of you very soon. And if you understand what I am writing today and why I write this, you should take my advice. Learn your way into working with the community. Learn how to interact with people here meaningfully. Learn how to write a good article. It takes time, and that is why those effort are worth it. Complete the tasks as bonuses, not your main way of earning income. In the future, when thread and mobile app introduced, there will be better and fun way for both me and you to earn. Just simply interacting in the earnest way possible, you could possibly make a living out of the earnings you get from this platform. That is why Bulb exist, to give chance for us crypto community to interact and learn from each other, like no other web2 can provide you with. Because you might be earning friends, and most importantly, earning earnest crypto tokens that you can be proud of.

To my fellow Bulbers, I hope you stay vigilant and strong through the times of spammers. The time for their void is nigh. There will be time when you feel like its hopeless, but, trust the developer team - they are doing their best for this project and its community as you can see since the project's inception. There are more good things to come - You can read a well organized article by @BULB Official here: 10 Reasons to buy and hodl your Bulb. Also, the Bulbconomy written by @Miguel is worth reading to get a little bit idea of where the project is heading towards. The updates alone are enough to keep me going. And I hope it does for you as well.
