Bulb Said "Up to 100" — I Got 34.5. Here's Why
I referred a friend to Bulb this week and completed all the conditions. I was expecting 100 BULB tokens. What landed was 34.5624.
At first I thought something went wrong. Then I read Bulb's own pages properly: the reward is "up to 100" — a maximum, not a flat bonus. It is pro-rated by what your friend actually does in their first 24 hours: one read, one react, one comment, worth up to 12 points. Full actions, full 100. Partial actions, partial reward. My friend did the steps, but not every action counted fully, so I got a fraction.
That taught me two things. First, read the "up to" in any reward offer before you count the money. Second, on Bulb the points matter far more than the token number. One hundred tokens is worth less than a tenth of a cent at the current price. Points are what decide your share of the weekly pool every Monday.
I am also not claiming those 34.5 tokens yet. Claiming costs about 0.00224 SOL in fees — roughly $0.20 — for a reward worth about $0.0003. The maths does not work until my earnings grow.
Lesson learned, on to the next post. Have you ever had a reward come in smaller than the headline number?
