The Art of Doing Nothing: My Lazy Village Cat
In my village in Shibganj, the afternoon heat is always heavy. Everything becomes slow and quiet. Today I found this little scene on my courtyard floor. My cat, a white cat with light orange spots, was lying flat on the cool concrete. No tension, no worry. Just completely stretched out, one leg extended, eyes half-open, watching a dry leaf move.
We humans always run. We worry about tomorrow, about money, about work. But this cat taught me something today. Sometimes, doing nothing is the most important work. Just lying down, feeling the coolness of the floor, and breathing peacefully.
In our busy life, we forget how to rest. This small animal, with no phone and no stress, knows how to enjoy a simple afternoon better than us.
I sat beside her for a long time. I didn't take her picture as just a cat, I took a picture of peace. This is the real beauty of village life finding happiness in small, lazy moments.
Have you ever noticed your pet enjoying such a peaceful moment?
