In 4 days the event window opens for one of the premier competitions on the WSL calendar - the J Bay Pro.
Jeffreys Bay is a right hand point break (rated amongst the top 5 waves of the world), which on its day can link between a number of sections providing rides up to a kilometre long.
Typically Australians do very well at this event - many will remember the altercation 3 time Aussie World Champ, Mick Fanning had with a White Shark in 2015!

Current World No.1 Filipe Toledo (Brazil) just came off a win at the last comp - also in Brazil, and has won at J Bay before.
If Kelly Slater is fit, he’s a great option, having won here also.
South African Jordy Smith is also a great option - it’s almost his home break
Theres also a bunch of Brazilians that could quite easily take it out, including Italo Ferreira.
But the one thing that will set a number of them apart is the size of the swell - it’s no secret that if the swell is bigger, the Aussies, Hawaiians & Sth Africans will do better than the Brazilians, who will do well if the waves are smaller.
Looking forward to this 🤙
