Istanbul Evening Routine
Have I ever been fishing?yes, but it requires such a patient and silent approach that I lack, since sitting tied to a place immobile makes my fish escape more easily.
However, I always find it fascinating to watch them do it, especially as the day ends. There is something incredibly mesmerizing about seeing a person fishing as the sun sets over the horizon. Maybe it is the mystery of the whole process or the poetry of motion that draws my attention so often to individuals who seem like statues as they observe the water tied to one spot with their fishing rods. Such was the case when I took this picture in Istanbul. We had gone out to explore the city with some friends, and the warm atmosphere created by the late-day sun captivated us. The view attracted my attention to the people on the dock fishing, who seemed like part of the landscape. If only I were as patient as they are, I would perhaps spend more time enjoying the scenery.
Fishing is a wonderful example of how ordinary human activities blend into the scenery to create a picture worth taking. This image, in particular, demonstrates how an everyday life activity can turn any landscape into something special by emphasizing the values of patience and mindfulness that come with it.
Do you enjoy watching people do unusual things for a living, or would you rather be out there taking pictures like me? Let me know in the comments below!
