Basic Knowledge About DATA SCIENCE
Data Science is the study of data it involves developing, methods of recording storing, and analyzing data to effectively extract valuable information to make informed decisions.
It is used to gain insight and knowledge from any type of data structured and unstructured.
Data Science aids in the advancement of predictive modeling by accelerating and delivering models faster, and with less error.
Stages of Data Science
1 Define the Problem:
This is the stage where you define the business problem, state what are you trying to achieve, and what are the different parameters on which your end results depend.
2 Obtaining the Data:
Based on the parameters defined in step 1 pull out the data. This process involves thinking through what data you'll need and finding ways to get that data.
Whether it's by collecting data querying internal databases or purchasing external data sets.
3 Data Cleaning:
This involves cleaning and filtering the data by checking missing values, and corrupted values such as invalid entries, timezone differences, and date range errors.
In this process, you need to convert the data from one format to another and consolidate everything into one standardized format.
Exploratory Data Analytics:
Firstly you will need to inspect the data properties that are the different data types like numerical data, categorical data, ordinal data, and nominal data. This data type requires different treatment.
The next is to compute descriptive statistics to extract features and text significant variables to discover patterns in the data set.
Data Modelling:
This is the process of producing a descriptive relationship between various types of information that are to be stored in a database.
Create the most efficient method of storing information while still providing complete access and reporting.
Data Visualization:
This is a graphical representation of any data or information visual elements such as graphs, charts, and maps. Visualized tools that allow viewers an easy and accessible way of understanding the represented info.
It allows you to easily group information and establishes relationships between elements.
