Paving the way

I suppose I should strive to embrace getting older because I've waited a long time to do so.
I can't return it for a refund and I don't want to throw it away either.

They imply that I am too stupid to understand when they tell me that life is a one-way street.
I might as well continue onward motion.
There aren't many options for where to go.

I want to reduce the weight of my accumulated luggage throughout the years.
It would be wise for me to let go of all the painful memories that made me cry.

That would greatly improve living, free up space that could then be filled with gratitude for the good things in life, and with the hope that I could then construct

a future that is largely unconcerned with the past and just exists in the present.
No matter how long it lasts, I will be happy at that time.

So now that I'm prepared for the remainder of the journey, I don't anticipate any issues.
With no regrets about the life I've led, I'll strive to make every day worthwhile.
