Ancient8 Chain: The first game ecosystem on Superchain
Ancient8 Chain's development process
· In October 2021, Ancient8 was launched with the vision of becoming a Web3 Gaming Guild in Vietnam, a project that sponsors scholarships for gamers participating in GameFi projects.
· In January 2022, Ancient8 raised 4 million USD from well-known funds in the market such as Dragonfly, Hashed, Pantera, Coinbase Ventures.
· April 2022, release Ancient8 2.0 and Ancient8 Metaverse DAO.
· In June 2022, Ancient8 continues to raise another 6 million USD with the purpose of developing infrastructure for GameFi. The funding round included the participation of C2Ventures, Maker Fund, Pantera...
· In September 2023, Ancient8 announced plans to launch blockchain gaming.
· In February 2024, officially deployed the Ancient8 Chain mainnet, a Layer 2 for gaming on Ethereum.
Highlights of Ancient8 Chain
The main product of the current project is Ancient8 Chain, an L2 blockchain on the Ethereum network and part of Optimism's Superchain ecosystem. Ancient8 Chain has a few special features suitable for a blockchain for gaming.
Modular design
Ancient8 Chain is a blockchain built on the latest version of the OP Stack toolkit, which provides the basic module layers that make up the blockchain such as Data Availability, Sequencing, Derivation, Execution, and Governance Layer.
Additionally, Ancient8 integrates with Celestia to improve the data availability (DA) layer. This modular mechanism allows Ancient8 to easily make updates and changes as needed.
Superchain ecosystem
Using the latest version of OP Stack also means Ancient8 is part of the Optimism Superchain ecosystem, sharing governance and revenue from transaction arrangements with the Optimism Council.
Ancient8 will be able to connect and communicate with other chains in Superchain in the near future, and Ancient8 is also the only Gaming project in this growing ecosystem.
EVM compatibility and scalability
Taking advantage of the design from the latest OP Stack version, Ancient is an Optimistic Rollup with performance and speed similar to other prominent Optimistic Rollups on the market such as Optimism, Base... and Ancient8 is also compatible with EVM.
Ancient is also committed to user experience by keeping gas fees low. This will create better conditions for gaming projects.
Data of A8 Chain
After about 2 months of mainnet operation, Ancient8 Chain achieved the following numbers:
· 970k wallets created, of which 583k wallets made at least 1 transaction
· 5.7 million transactions performed
· The number of active users per day remains stable at 20-40k users
· 723 contracts and 94 tokens created
· Attracted nearly 750k USD worth of ETH loaded onto the network

The game development process using Ancient8's Growth Layer will be as follows:
Developers use A8 Chain infrastructure to build games, then promote/open for sale NFT sets on Dojo, publish games through Space3, enhance user identity with A8ID, build game community connections players through A8 Gaming, generate more revenue with in-game advertising from ReneVerse.
Gaming project team
Ancient8 is supporting the development of many types of games, notably the group of fully on-chain games, some projects include:
· Onchain Clash: Similar pixel graphics game inspired by Pixel War, Go Game and Paperie. Players participating in the game will try to expand and protect their territory from other players.
