My First Memecoin Experiment — What I Learned
A few days ago, I decided to do something I’d normally only watch other people do.
I created a memecoin. Not because I thought the world needed another memecoin. Honestly, it probably doesn't.
I was simply curious.
I wanted to understand what actually happens when a token goes from being just an idea to becoming something people can buy and trade.
So I created one and started watching.
At first, nothing really happened.
Then liquidity went in.
A few wallets appeared.
Transactions started coming through.
The chart started moving.
And suddenly, something that had only existed as an idea was behaving like a real market.
That was probably the most interesting part for me.
We usually look at a memecoin after it has already pumped and say:
"How did people find this so early?"
But watching it from the beginning made me realize how much happens before a token becomes visible to everyone.
Liquidity matters.
Volume matters.
Wallet activity matters.
But so does attention.
A token can have a chart that looks exciting, but without people actually paying attention, that excitement can disappear just as quickly.
My biggest takeaway?
Launching a token is easy. Creating genuine interest around it is the difficult part.
I'm still watching the experiment because I want to see what happens next.
Maybe it goes nowhere.
Maybe it surprises me.
Either way, I learned more by actually experimenting than I would have by reading another hundred threads about memecoins.
Have you ever launched a token or participated in one from the very beginning?
What was the biggest thing you learned?
