Sure, a combined company between Gemini and Genesis was a tantalizing prospect. Unequivocally, it would’ve been an Anthony Joshua-Mike Tyson power combo causing seismic shifts in the cryptosphere. We’re talking about Gemini’s experience in the crypto market and Genesis global reach and influence. What could possibly go wrong, right?
Adios Crypto Dream
As it turns out, a lot apparently! Despite Silbert’s ambitious vision, this dream team venture didn’t see the virtual light of day. Why you ask? Well, let’s just say this is just another case of an idea being just that — an idea. Exciting on paper, but way more complicated in implementation.
Meanwhile, in the Decentralized World…
While we would have loved to see what this powerhouse could have done for decentralized finance and cryptocurrency as a whole, we have to move on. Yes, it’s a bummer, and yes, I’m still eating my feelings in the form of sugar-free gummy bears.
