For makers, the modern world can be pretty amazing. While things like RAM prices and hardware availability have the potential to cause a few headaches, overall, hardware is faster and in some instances, more affordable than ever.

No longer do we need full-size machines to run hobby-level projects and servers. Now, we have single board computers with GPIO pics and other features that let us scale, build and develop faster and easier than ever.

Part of the reason for this success is the rapid growth and development of the Raspberry Pi ecosystem. What would start as a single product would grow into a fully fledged ecosystem, with products at all price points and broad domination of the market.

While others like the Beaglebone and Orange Pi have also made their contributions felt, the easy product access, low barrier to entry and good community support that the Raspberry Pi was able to leverage would see it become a centerpoint of the maker community.

So, it’s only natural that we’d create a space where people can write about it.

The Publication

So, Cooking With Raspberries was born. Aiming to highlight the use and development of the Pi in various projects, it’s also intended to be a repository of knowledge that is beginner-friendly, with a broad range of projects to tackle.

We aren’t just talking about the full-sized Pi here either. Any ecosystem product is welcome, and we’d particularly like to hear from unique use cases that help highlight the flexibility offered by the Pi.

Remember, it’s about shared experiences and encouraging others to start projects of their own. So, your project doesn’t have to be elaborate, nor complex, nor expensive. You simply have to be willing to share it with the community.
