A Ride in The Paradise.

It was long awaiting moment when my feet touches the land of meadows, mountains and most scenic natural place on earth. Most of parts people call it heaven on earth or paradise of the world. Can you guess what I am talking about? Yes ! It is Switzerland.
It was almost midnight of 12th June when our aeroplane stopped after landing on Lausanne air port.
A family visit to land of meadows has been commences with a surprise taxi ride to hotel.

Next day we were on the way to Zermatt which was originally our dream plane. The ride in the Paradise, The glacier express from Zermatt to St.Motitz .
I heard a lot about this ride so we are here to witness it's beauty.

The glacier express

Although glacier express didn't run in speed as other trains but it built with special glass roof and big windows with luxury seating made it perfect for outdoor scenes. Exactly at 9:00 am the station of Zermatt was full of people around the glob to get ride of glacier express.

Tall mountains around and the resort on Zermatt made it more romantic , the glacier express whistling for ready to depart from Zermatt. The route for glacier express is only 290KM but it took more then 10 hours to complete.

A 50 minutes drive when it's first stop Brig came and train stops for 10 minutes. Panoramic scenes has been begin and the romance of paradise was on big canvas Infront of our eyes. You know, the glacier express has rich history and on track since 92 years. Really unbelievable facts related to the glacier express like it is one of the slowest move wheels, it passes through UNESCO iconic Rhaetian and high landwasser viaduct.

When train reached andermatt , a Hilly station, it was almost lunch time. Here we witness another beauty of that Trip that the administration of the train prepared the food on demand. It was another surprise to me because normally trains have cafeteria inside and they serve only what they cooked already. But the waiter on train asked from us about dinner choice from simple snacks with beverage, seasonal meal of veges and soups, tender meals and traditional food. Although I never wants but they have special own prepared bear as well to serve.

I ordered for traditional meal for lunch which was boiled rice , roasted duck , grean topping of chopped capsicum with cucumbers dipped in garlic sauce. As side drink a trust on cold water only ( The simple water was also do tasty, clear , lite and quick digestible. Having lunch on moving train through meadows, mountains and lush valley is pure luxury and unforgettable experience.

The journey complete in 10 hours and 45 minutes as the train goes through disentis and chur to reach our destination St.Moritz. We cross over 280+ different size of bridges in which some were built 100 years ago and put visitors in surprise that how architects made it 100 years before without latest technology. We go through 80+ tunnels in which glitz is longest one have 1 km length under the mountains.
We step out from train at night around 8.00 pm at St.Moritz station and straight went to hotel for rest because next day we were in Geneva for visiting the most moderate culture in Switzerland.
