"Do hard things." — Fred Swaniker

Three months ago, after a church service, I received what felt like divine instruction: commit to a 90-day consistency challenge. My first thought? This is crazy. I'll probably start strong and fizzle out like so many other attempts.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

What began as a spiritual nudge has ignited an unquenchable fire within me. The hunger, passion, and alignment I've experienced over these 90 days has been unlike anything I've felt before.

If you're struggling to get your life together—especially in this chaotic Web3 space—I can't recommend enough finding something that aligns your path with purpose and committing to it for a fixed period.

Pray about it. Alignment moves faster and clearer when God's involved. Here are the eight transformative lessons that emerged from this journey:

1. Failure Is Your Greatest Teacher

Contrary to popular belief, failure isn't your enemy—it's your most valuable mentor. Through failure, your eyes open to what works and, more importantly, what doesn't.

In Web3, where projects rise and fall overnight, understanding failure is crucial. Your hustle, your grind, your struggle—falls are necessary. Things will get worse before they get better. But each failure is data, each setback is education.

2. Master the Art of Strategic Relationships

Here's a game-changing realization: Learn to identify the roles of people in your life.

Not everyone is your friend—or should be one. Create categories: accountability partners, work buddies, fellow builders, community members, mentors, collaborators. Don't be quick to call everyone your friend.

You might hinder your growth or expose yourself to situations you're unequipped for. It's better to build alone than to build with the wrong people. Don't stay attached to relationships that don't push you to become better.

Consider this: Who in your network is genuinely invested in your Web3 journey? It's time to audit your connections.

3. Embrace Your Power (My Green Lantern Revelation)

I finally embraced green in my brand—and discovered something profound about willpower. Remember Green Lantern? His ring could conjure anything his mind could conceive. The secret wasn't the ring—it was WILL.

Your willpower is your greatest asset in Web3. The opportunities available to you aren't limited because the market is saturated. They're limited because you think there's no space for you. According to the universe's natural laws, so shall it be.

If you look at successful Web3 builders today, they all share one thing: inexplicable drive to accomplish anything their mind can conceive.

4. Run From Your Comfort Zone

Everything you're destined to achieve in Web3 lies on the other side of what you're reluctant to do because it seems difficult.

Dream of hosting Twitter Spaces? Start hosting. Your first session might be terrible—hell, it might be embarrassing. Don't let this destroy your confidence. When I started writing Web3 content, my first pieces were garbage.

I still create imperfect content, but now I can proudly own it. It's a product of my mind, perfectly imperfect. Push yourself out of that comfort zone that's protecting you from hardship.

Become stronger. Do hard things.

5. The Four Pillars Framework

Success in Web3 requires clarity on four pillars:

  1. WHAT you're building
  2. WHY it matters
  3. HOW you'll execute
  4. WHEN you'll deliver

Master these, and you'll navigate the Web3 chaos with purpose.

6. Invest in Yourself—Prepare for Glory

Courses, videos, skills, communities, your health, your spiritual life—no investment in yourself is wasted. That design work I did for fun in high school? The video editing I learned in college? They're now pivotal to my Web3 content creation.

You never know which skill will become your Web3 superpower. What skill are you learning today that could transform your tomorrow? The Web3 space rewards those who prepare.

7. Your Success Unlocks Others' Potential

Your desire to succeed shouldn't be selfish—it should be your duty. You're not just building for yourself; you're building for family, friends, your community, and people you'll never meet.

Consider Tunde Onakoya's chess initiatives. His success illuminated countless young talents who might never have been discovered otherwise. Your breakthrough in Web3 could be the catalyst for someone else's transformation.

There's greatness that will never see light if you don't step into your own greatness.

8. Think, Act and Live Outside the Box

Everyone else is crowded in the same box, following the same strategies, chasing the same trends. Remove yourself from that box. Do something unique.

It doesn't have to be completely original—it has to be UNIQUE.

The Fire Continues

I haven't reached my destination yet, but these 90 days have changed everything.

The alignment, the clarity, the unshakeable drive—it's transformed how I approach Web3, content creation, and life itself.

If you're ready to stop playing small in the Web3 space, if you're tired of mediocrity, it's time to commit. Choose your 90-day challenge. Find your alignment.

Do the hard things.

The Web3 revolution needs builders who are willing to do what others won't. The question is: Are you ready to be one of them?

Start today. Your future self—and everyone connected to your success—is counting on you.
