We are Bulb

Good morning/evening
 
Well today as I have been spending time thinking about my time here on Bulb, I thought I should write about it and hopefully with a few tips thrown in. I have been on Bulb since May 2023 so almost 3 years, I have written over 130 articles which although may not sound like a lot, it is for the time I have available to me and I do try to be more consistent now and try to achieve at least 1 per week although sometimes it is just not possible. 
 
So what is Bulb?
 
It is a decentralized web 3 writing and social media platform that was founded in September 2021 by Ronson Chau, Johnson Chau, and Alex Rose, the platform was created to disrupt traditional blogging platforms like Medium by providing a fairer and more rewarding experience for content creators and readers. The platform launched its official version in April 2023. Bulb is easy to set up and easy to use, which is great for onboarding new users, especially those not used to crypto and dealing with wallets. 
 
Bulb is on the Solana blockchain, which is great because the fees to buy or swap tokens are minimal and quick and again I have always found most things in the Solana eco system easy to use like the Phantom wallet that you can connect your Bulb profile too, although there are many options now including Backpack and Bulb's own wallet.
 
So what makes Bulb great
 
The many options available to you to earn from your content, although it was predominantly read and write to earn there are many more ways on Bulb. So if you are not into writing articles you can post threads, short format comments like X, you can read to earn, comment to earn as well as moderate to earn and you can even stake your Bulb tokens to earn. Ok so in reality this is not a give up your day job but if it is something you enjoy doing anyway, why not do it here on Bulb.
The Bulb team have been constantly upgrading and improving Bulb, they are still here and have lasted longer than some blockchains and you can even have Bulb on your mobile, so you don't even need to have a laptop. The team will also listen to you if you have ideas about how to improve Bulb, how cool is that!
 
Community
 
Yes, not just a buzz word, this is a real community where people with the same interests can engage together, it even feels like you have made some friends, people you can chat to who have the same interests as you. If you are new to Bulb I would suggest that if you put the effort in to engage you will not only earn for your engagement but there are some genuine people that share advice, things they have learned so you can learn too. I have had some advice from people on Bulb that have helped me make my portfolio grow (although always do your own research). I have also had advice that has saved me from a rather sketchy project that could have resulted in my whole internet being compromised..........That is real value, not just tokens.
There is also the Discord, which is the friendliest I have ever been in, not as busy as it used to be but still a great helpful Discord.
As for Articles, my only gripe is the copy paste AI, but then I am someone who enjoys writing so I don't see it as a chore, just something I enjoy doing. As for comments, make them genuine and that they relate to the article, if you just write great, cool or nice then it is most likely you will be reported for spam. Then you will lose points and energy and your whole Bulb experience will not be as good.
 
Upgrading
 
You can improve the points you earn with your emojis, and these can be upgraded or even traded. You can turn your article into an NFT that can be traded or you can put a paywall on your article, so people that want to read it have to spend a few tokens to do so. Then there is staking where you can lock the tokens you earn to earn more tokens! Win win really.
 
 
Patience
 
This will not be a platform that will generate you great riches or a 'too the moon token', but it is a platform that is still here and there is a lot to be said for that, people see Medium as 'The blogging site' but that didn't happen overnight and remember, we are still early as most people have no idea about Web 3 yet or how the legacy platforms censor you and use/sell your data.

• BULBmoji NFTs: The platform features utility NFTs called BULBmojis. Activating these NFTs allows users to boost their earnings and reduce the "energy" required to engage, maximizing their points and potential rewards.
• Article NFTs: Creators can mint their published articles into NFTs on the Solana blockchain, which can then be traded.
• Weekly Rewards: Points earned through activities are converted into $BULB tokens via a weekly reward pool. 
• $BULB Token: The native cryptocurrency of the platform, used to reward users and as currency for purchasing premium content and NFTs within the ecosystem.
• Leaderboard: Users compete for top spots on a leaderboard based on their activity, with top users receiving a higher share of tokens.
• Staking: Users can stake their $BULB tokens to increase their earnings and receive a share of the platform's, as well as a multiplier on their points.
• Community Governance: Content moderation is handled by the community, allowing for decentralized management, rather than central control.

 
To conclude
 
After all this time I am still here, as are others who were here before me, I have seen people go and I have seen new people arrive but if you are here you are part of the Bulb family and it is a nice place to be.
