Ethermail's adventures in 2023 and plans for 2024

We know our community is waiting intently on the launch of our native token, and we greatly appreciate the high levels of interest. We have been meticulous in planning our token launch, taking a very measured approach to ensure all compliance requirements are adhered to. The crypto space has seen far too many half-baked token launches with zero utility over the years, causing reputational damage and undermining user trust. While the upcoming launch of our native token may have taken longer than some expected, ensuring thorough compliance and transparent and efficient utility framework will ensure a solid foundation for our ecosystem.

Mobile Application Launch

In 2024 we will also be introducing our EtherMail Mobile App. It’s important to remember that a huge number of users engage with email as a mobile-first experience, not just desktop. As such, we want to develop a slick, user-centric mobile app that will entice Web2 users into our expanding ecosystem, providing an accessible on-ramp to enable a broader audience to explore our services.

Expanding Our dApplets Marketplace

As mentioned earlier, 2023 saw the introduction of our dApplets marketplace, which gave rise to the launch of the Moonpay, Huddle01 and XMTP dApplets. To date, the process for launching dApplets has seen our Partnerships team engage with prospective partners and explore the viability of use-cases and prototype development. Our goal for 2024 is to truncate and streamline this process, enabling third parties to build dApplets independently without the need for extensive coordination with EtherMail. Teams can build their dApplets and submit for review, before the solutions get added to the marketplace automatically. This will facilitate a more scalable marketplace while providing a conveyor belt of innovative dApplets for our community to enjoy.
So, as you can see, we have big ambitions for 2024, and we wanted to share an outline of our roadmap to our community, who have contributed greatly to our early success. However, we are just getting started. The scale of our ambition knows no limits, and we believe we are building critical technological infrastructure that will bridge the Web2/Web3 gap for everyday users and companies across the industry spectrum.
