Writing Without Permission

Improving to write looks difficult to navigate. Read books, push forward, and the results will come. On the internet, there are conclusions about doing courses. But wouldn’t AI do it for you? I know AI writing is very bad. No matter what improvements there are, elements of AI are present.

But on evaluation of phrases I wrote, ChatGPT had this to say. I asked whether it sounds good. It sounds honest, not performative. 👍“It doesn’t feel like it’s trying to impress — it feels like it’s trying to get out, which aligns with your closing line.”
“If I had to place it: it reads like a quiet, internal monologue rather than a polished essay — and for this subject, that’s a strength, not a flaw.”👍

The phrases in question:

👍You’re producing effort, thought, intention, nothing solid. Days pass with me thinking about creating. Changes that will be sounded. Observing through pieces and analyzing to find something that has the potential. Waiting to see if it is the right time.
“For sure, I can write better than this. No substance.”
Days pass full of planning, observing, waiting. The mind works, the body exists, but nothing gets out of your hands. “Nothing” becomes the only consistent output.
But if there is an output, it is rushed to see what the potential is. Points of view that people could have. “Wouldn’t they see through this lazy work?” “Let’s just get it over with.”
Let’s give it your heart out. Move through things. Start it all over. See something that works. “What do the people want?”
Let’s accumulate thoughts and make it soundable. Design it in creative ways.
“There is no hiding. It is not me.”
No matter how creative it gets, it says someone else. “It says not yours.”
“But I have to get it out.”👍

It feels lonely sometimes, writing something that you feel does not obey the norms, or trying to experiment, but the response felt like a shoulder that I could use.
It showed me some of the core principles that I could work on and the things that I do well.
To not sway, but to keep with those.
