BITCOIN RECLAIMS $80K AS MORGAN STANLEY CALLS THE CORRECTION OVER — BUT ETHEREUM AND SOLANA ARE BLEE
Wednesday, October 28, 2026 — Bitcoin is back above $80,000, and the smartest money on Wall Street just made a bold call.
BTC is trading near $80,800-$81,275, up roughly 1.2% in 24 hours, after defending support at $79,500 and climbing as high as $81,687 intraday. The move comes as technology and chipmaking stocks rallied, buoying risk appetite ahead of the Federal Reserve's rate decision later today.
But the real headline isn't the price. It's what Morgan Stanley's chief U.S. equity strategist Mike Wilson told CNBC: "Most of the correction is already over. We've been in correction mode for four or five months... the market has digested this very efficiently".
Wilson believes tech stocks are entering a new bullish phase after the October sell-off, and that the broader correction has largely run its course.
That's a powerful signal. But beneath the surface, the market is deeply divided — and most traders are missing the divergence.
Here's what's really happening.

BITCOIN ETFs: $286 MILLION IN TWO DAYS — BLACKROCK LEADS
Institutional money is quietly returning to Bitcoin.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs drew $175.99 million on Tuesday, bringing week-to-date inflows to more than $286 million. Monday's $110.34 million inflow came entirely through BlackRock's IBIT, and Tuesday added a second major buyer: Fidelity's FBTC with $24.54 million.
No Bitcoin fund recorded an outflow. Total net assets rose to $103.94 billion, and trading value reached $1.58 billion.
The reversal is significant. The funds had lost nearly $774 million on Thursday and Friday of last week. October net outflows have now narrowed to just $26 million, while year-to-date net inflows stand at roughly $850 million.
BlackRock's IBIT alone took in $151.46 million on Tuesday — roughly 86% of the day's total.
On-chain data from Santiment showed about 14,942 BTC left exchanges on a net basis — the largest daily outflow in five weeks. That suggests holders are moving coins into cold storage, reducing near-term selling pressure.

ETHEREUM: BLEEDING AS ETFs DRAIN
While Bitcoin ETFs attract capital, Ethereum is fighting a different battle.
ETH is trading near $2,312-$2,340, down about 13.6% in October. Spot Ether ETFs recorded roughly $149 million in net outflows on Monday and Tuesday alone, and October outflows have reached $1.32 billion.
On October 26 alone, Ether ETFs saw a net outflow of $88.58 million. BlackRock's ETHA shed $93.28 million on Tuesday, partially offset by Fidelity's FETH adding $28.58 million and Grayscale's Ether Mini Trust adding $4.48 million.
Early investors are also selling. Lookonchain reported that an Ethereum ICO participant who once bought 100,000 ETH at $0.31 sold another 1,500 ETH worth about $3.48 million within eight hours.
But there's a silver lining. CryptoQuant data shows Ethereum's NUPL (Net Unrealized Profit/Loss) has fallen to about 0.0073 — near neutral. This means the market is approaching an overall break-even state, historically a zone where selling pressure exhausts itself.
The key levels: $2,300 is critical support. Reclaiming $2,350 and then $2,550 is needed to restore upward momentum. Below $2,300, $2,200 and even $2,000 enter the observation range.

SOLANA: PRICE HOLDS, BUT REVENUE IS DRAINING
Solana is the most deceptive chart in crypto right now.
SOL is trading near $101.91, almost exactly where it closed Tuesday. The price looks stable. But the on-chain data tells a much darker story.
Solana's DEX trading volume fell 24.2% to $11.94 billion over the past week. Daily volume dropped 10.7% to $1.85 billion. Network fees fell 18.8% to $4.20 million — down from $5.17 million the week before.
The daily revenue trajectory is brutal: $781,529 on October 19, $799,593 on October 20, then a relentless decline to $434,092 on October 25 — the lowest daily reading of the month. October 26 recovered to $568,346, but remained well below prior levels.
Solana ETFs fared worse than Bitcoin's. The funds saw a $19.16 million outflow on Tuesday, all from Grayscale's GSOL, following Monday's $8.23 million withdrawal. Two-day losses exceed $27 million.
The decline is driven mainly by a drop in trading of small, newly launched tokens, which previously accounted for much of Solana's volume. Holding SOL means holding a share in a network whose business is currently shrinking.
But there are structural positives. Circle minted 250 million USDC on Solana today, and Mirae Asset Securities (HK) completed a tokenized financing note issuance on the Solana blockchain for qualified institutional investors.
The Alpenglow upgrade — Solana's largest consensus overhaul — is still on the roadmap, promising sub-second finality. But the market is pricing the revenue decline, not the roadmap.

CLARITY ACT: DEAD FOR 2026 — BUT REGULATORS ARE MOVING
The regulatory front has shifted decisively.
The Senate failed to advance the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act on September 15, 2026. The procedural vote left the bill stalled after months of negotiations aimed at building bipartisan support. JPMorgan analysts now say the bill is unlikely to pass this year.
Senator Cynthia Lummis says Democrats rejected their own safeguards — including fundraising ceilings and a ten-year exclusion for specified financial-crime convictions that they had requested.
But the story isn't over. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said at the Ripple Swell conference that Congress failing to pass the CLARITY Act is disappointing — but the Treasury has "significant convening power" and can work with the SEC and CFTC to advance a crypto regulatory framework through agency action.
Bessent called both agencies "outstanding partners". He said the CLARITY Act would have prevented "debanking" from recurring, but that best practices and protections can still be established through regulation.
JPMorgan noted that regulatory actions from the CFTC and OCC have partially offset the Senate's failure to advance the CLARITY Act.
The message: Washington stalled, but the regulators aren't waiting.

THE MACRO VICE: FED DECISION TODAY
The entire market is holding its breath for the Fed.
The central bank is widely expected to leave rates unchanged at 3.75% to 4.00% after a quarter-point increase in September. But investors are watching Chair Kevin Warsh's comments on inflation and the December outlook.
The risk is a hawkish tone. Sticky U.S. inflation and rising energy prices due to the Middle East conflict could push the Fed to signal another hike. Higher rates bode poorly for speculative assets like crypto.
There's also a geopolitical wildcard. A Wall Street Journal report said U.S. officials warned Gulf countries about a possible short military campaign against Iran after the November 3 midterm elections. No final decision has been announced, but the report raised concerns about oil prices and inflation.
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index rose to 51 from 48 — still in "Neutral" territory. A week earlier, the index read 63, or "Greed".

KEY LEVELS TO WATCH
Bitcoin: $81,400 is the key three-day closing level flagged by Rekt Capital. Support sits at $80,000. A return above the 50-day moving average would signal the consolidation phase is ending. A rejection could open the door to $73,000-$75,000.
Ethereum: $2,300 is the critical support. Reclaiming $2,350 and $2,550 is needed for a recovery. Below $2,300, $2,200 and $2,000 enter the picture.
Solana: $100 is the psychological level. A break below could accelerate the decline toward $90. Revenue trends need to stabilize for any sustained recovery.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
1. Bitcoin reclaimed $80K — Morgan Stanley's Mike Wilson says "most of the correction is over". ETF inflows of $286 million in two days confirm institutional buying.
2. Ethereum is bleeding — down 13.6% in October, with $1.32 billion in ETF outflows. But NUPL near zero suggests selling pressure is exhausting.
3. Solana's price is stable but its revenue is collapsing — DEX volume down 24%, fees down 18.8%. The chart looks fine, but the fundamentals are deteriorating.
4. The CLARITY Act is dead for 2026 — but Treasury Secretary Bessent says regulators will push the framework forward through the SEC and CFTC.
5. The Fed decision today is the biggest near-term catalyst — a hawkish tone could trigger another leg down. A neutral or dovish tone could spark a rally.

MY TAKE
I am not a financial advisor, but here's what I see:
Morgan Stanley calling the correction over while Bitcoin ETFs pull in $286 million in two days is not a coincidence. It's a signal. The institutional bid is returning to Bitcoin.
But the divergence is brutal. Ethereum is bleeding. Solana's revenue is collapsing. The market is not rallying as a whole — it's rotating.
The Fed decision today will set the tone for the next leg. If Warsh signals patience, Bitcoin could test $82,000 and beyond. If he signals another hike, $75,000 becomes the downside target.
The CLARITY Act may be dead, but the regulatory apparatus is still moving. Bessent's comments confirm that the SEC and CFTC will carry the torch.
The question is not whether this transformation will happen. It's whether you will be positioned when it does.
