Dr. Ban was a young psychiatrist from Basra University. She dedicated her life to healing people from trauma. She was honest, ethical, and was about to start a new life in America.

She was found dead in her bathroom - both hands cut, strangled, with "I want God" written on the wall. That night, all of Basra had a blackout. Her parents had been sent to Turkey days before.

Court said: suicide.

But how can someone with two wounded hands write on a wall? All Iraq protested.
