It's all kicking off on the Marinade (one of Solana's oldest and largest stake pool providers) over allegations of gaming the staking auctions. 
Decentralised systems scale faster and enable much more innovation. If this had happened in the traditional financial system it may have taken decades to uncover (if it ever was uncovered). 
Contention is feature; not a bug.
