Papa Emeka was a tailor in Oshodi. His shop had no AC, just one old fan and a Singer machine from 1982.

Every day at 6pm, a woman in a blue dress would pass his shop going to Last Bus Stop. She never stopped. For 5 years.

One day, Papa Emeka made a dress - blue, with small white flowers - and hung it outside.

She stopped.

"How did you know my size?" she asked.

"I've been watching you walk for 5 years. I know when you're tired, when you're happy. Your shoulders tell me everything."

She tried it on. Perfect.

She said, "My husband died last year. I stopped caring about how I looked. Today was the first time someone made me feel seen."

She started bringing him zobo every evening. He started closing his shop early to walk her to Last Bus Stop.

He never told her he made that dress 3 years ago, waiting for the day she would stop.

Sometimes love is not about finding someone new. It's about noticing someone who has been there all along.
