We May be Disappointed!

I am a man, long past my puberty years but sometimes I remember certain times in those early years of manhood when a chase climaxed in disappointment.
The scenario, generally, went something like this. You met a girl you fancied and started the pursuit with hopes of getting to home base. The anticipation of reaching this goal builds up and intoxicates you. You are excited and quite ready to do anything to attain your target. And then the day finally comes and after all the heat and excitement building up to the moment, you "flop". A performance that has turned out to be below your expectations. A disappointment!

Now, some time last year, we had the Litecoin (LTC) halving event. Prior to this moment, there was a lot of buzz and excitement. In anticipation of this event, the LTC price got a rocket and began a moon-bound journey, climbing in value when other token prices were relatively stagnant. The D-Day finally arrived and LTC price just puffed out smoke and fell flat on its face. The rocket engines shutdown and that was it. A disappointment!

Still last year, a new buzz hit the crypto community, the anticipated approval of the Bitcoin (BTC) ETF. Once again the excitement started building. The crypto market rallied and once again, crypto investors started dreaming of lambos. The D-Day finally came and like a nervous and excited teenager, all we got was a flop. Another disappointment!

Now, once again, the attention has shifted. It's the BTC halving event. Count downs have started and it seems the excitement will soon start building up again. But just like the 2 previously mentioned crypto events, I won't be surprised if this also ends up in another disappointment. I actually hope that this isn't the case because the general market sentiment in crypto tends to depend a lot on how well the BTC price is performing. And there's a possibility that a disappointment may dampen the emerging bull-run. In the long-term, this may not matter but short-term actions are also important.
But then again, life is unpredictable and we should always expect the unexpected. So while we raise our hopes and stuff our bags in anticipation of great gains as the BTC halving approaches, let's also remember that we could end up disappointed.
