Lagos monarch allegedly beat up his second in command

Chaos erupted in the Ajido village in the Badagry region of Lagos State after Saheed Adamson, the town's traditional leader, is accused of assaulting Michael Kunnuji, one of his high chiefs, after an argument.

According to Punch Metro, when Oba Adamson and Kunnuji got into a fight at the palace, Kunnuji, who served as his deputy, was struck.
Police officers from the Badagry division intervened, however, and prevented them from following through on their threat.
Kunnuji allegedly complained to the station, and the police allegedly refused to make an arrest.
According to reports, a policeman led the high chief to the Badagry General Hospital, where he received medical attention.

According to a medical record from the hospital that our correspondent was able to get, Kunnuji was sent there by Inspector Amina Bara.

The investigation confirmed that, despite being awake when he was taken to the hospital, Kunnuji was in pain and was bleeding from an injury to the area above his eyes.

The high chief said he was assaulted by the monarch when he paid him a visit just after his return from Jerusalem.
Kunnuji explained that a crisis started between him and the monarch when he purchased a transformer for the community, a project the king did not support.
