The Crypto Community Mourns The Loss Of Balltze, The Shiba Inu Behind The Viral Memes.

The crypto community is mourning the death of Balltze, also known as "Ball Ball" and "Cheems," the Shiba Inu dog behind viral images of a Shiba Inu enjoying cheeseburgers. Balltze died in his sleep on August 18 in the midst of a battle with cancer. He was 12 years old at the time of his death.
The Shiba Inu breed is famous among cryptocurrency users as the foundation for cryptocurrencies like Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE), which are driven by retail investors and high-profile figures like Elon Musk. An August 18 post on Cheems' Instagram page read: "Don't be sad, please remember the joy Balltze brought to the world. A Shiba Inu with a round, smiling face that connects you and me, has helped many people during the pandemic and has brought much joy to many of you, but now his mission is over."
Cheems also appeared in images shared with Kabosu, the dog featured in the Dogecoin-inspired meme, such as the 'Doge sucked vs. Cheems'. Kabosu is expected to celebrate his 18th birthday in October, but he too has been experiencing significant health problems.
Cryptocurrency users, including those involved in the Dogecoin Foundation, offered their condolences on Cheems' loss and his support for Kabosu's continued good health. The Dogecoin Foundation tweeted: "We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Balltze, affectionately known as 'Ball Ball' and to the rest of the world, 'Cheems.' The Dogecoin community and the internet at large mourn the loss of a beloved Shiba Inu who inspired millions around the world."
