A Glossary of Crypto Slangs You Should Know

For any field of study, there exist slangs that best describe to the community ways of communicating. The crypto community is not different as it has acronyms to phrases that can make the average user catch the drift of what is been discuss in any conversation.

Here are the few common slangs that come to mind:-

• HODL [Hold on to Dear Life] :- When the markets gets bad, you hold on to your assets and don't sell like the speculators.
• FOMO [Fear of Missing out] :- When a new coin is pumping and the desire not to miss the gains that will be associated with it kicks in.
• WAGMI [We are going to make it] :- The belief that no matter the dip or crypto winter, the market always recovers
• FUD [Fear Uncertainty Doubt] :- Passing bad or incorrect information as market dips which makes investors sell fast
• DYOR [Do Your Own Research]:- Take the appropriate steps to research and make the right decision in your trade and investment.
• REKT - When your portfolio gets wipe out in high percentage with market movement, which happening mostly on shit coins
• Diamond Hands:- Not selling your crypto stacks as others sell which depicts your confident in the project. Paper Hands or Weak Hands is the opposite of this.
