My journey in the web3 space
I joined Web3 around December 2023. At the time, it was honestly confusing and overwhelming. I had no one to teach me or explain how things worked , no mentor, no guide, just me trying to figure it all out one step at a time. Everything felt foreign: DeFi, wallets, gas fees, NFTs, L1s and L2s... I was lost, but still curious enough to keep exploring.
For a while, I was just hopping around, trying to find the perfect chain to call home. I kept asking myself “Where do I fit in this whole Web3 space?” It wasn’t until around October 2024 that things started to shift. I came across a few posts from someone named @AlexKosa1 and @_OneOrTwo , something about them resonated with me. I reached out, and he responded. That simple interaction gave me a small spark , the kind that makes you feel like maybe you’re not as lost as you think.
Through Alex, I was able to connect with a few more incredible people @yax_republic, @ziko_crypto, and Nonso. Real ones. They didn’t gatekeep. They actually helped me understand more about the space and introduced me to @SeiNetwork, just in time for the content creator round hosted by the SEI team.
That was when everything changed for me.
I started getting involved, creating content, connecting with other builders and creators in the SEI ecosystem. I finally felt like I belonged somewhere. I even got a follow from the official @SeiNetwork account in November and that moment? It meant everything to me 😂. It felt like a win, a form of recognition for all the effort I was putting in.
But just when things were getting better, X banned my account.
It hurt. I had built something. I had community, I had memories, I had connections and just like that, they were gone. I didn’t give up though. I created a new account. Started again from scratch. Reconnected with a few people. Then X banned that one too.
Now I’m here, again, on this account. Restarted. Rebuilding.
But despite the setbacks, I’ve kept going because of the amazing people I’ve met along the way. Shout out to @FrogOnSei @DefiGrace_ @Briamach @EmpirePro_ @_JessaWrites @CJWeb3_ @AloneWeb3 @AlexKosa1 @ProAboveMe and some others who always checked in, who always encouraged me, who reminded me that I’m not alone in this space. Without them, I probably would’ve quit a long time ago.
X might have banned my accounts, but it couldn’t ban my purpose or the connections I’ve made. I’ve earned a name for myself here on SEI. I’ve built relationships that go beyond the blockchain. And I’ve grown both as a creator and as a person.
No matter what happens in this space, I truly believe everything happens for a reason. And I’m glad , so glad that I stayed on SEI. This chain gave me more than a platform. It gave me a home.
