Immutable Enhances Web3 Gaming Payments with Transak
Immutable has expanded its Web3 gaming payment spectrum by integrating Transak, enriching its zkEVM gaming infrastructure with enhanced in-game payment methods.
The integration of Transak within Immutable’s zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) will serve as the primary provider for fiat and Web3-based payments within gaming realms.
This move integrates Transak’s suite of services into Immutable’s Checkout and Passport systems. The former serves as a comprehensive transaction framework for games, offering developers a customizable interface to embed diverse payment options seamlessly.
Transak’s repertoire encompasses on-ramp, off-ramp, and nonfungible token (NFT) payment services, enabling fiat transactions through credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Michael Powell, Immutable’s Head of Product Marketing, affirmed Transak’s initial inclusion in flagship Web3 games like Guild of Guardians, Gods Unchained, and Cross The Ages.
With a solid footing in payment infrastructure for over 350 applications, Transak stands as a go-to solution utilized by major Web3 wallet providers such as MetaMask, Ledger, and Trust Wallet. Its robust service also powers transactions in several Web3 gaming titles backed by Animoca Brands, a significant Web3 gaming venture capital firm.
The agreement between Transak and Immutable introduces tailored pricing, surpassing the default rates and promising a cost-effective solution. Notably, Transak’s infrastructure supports payments across 75 blockchains and offers access to over 170 cryptocurrencies.
