Dymension Rolldrop Season One - So It Begins...
Who said that 2024 will be the airdrop season was right! The last quarter of 2023 had some top drops for crypto OGs, and even more are announced for this year. Plenty of action on Solana, perpetual rewards for $TIA stakers, and the long wait for zkSync and Metamask tokens.
The Dymension Rolldrop Season One was announced, and users were able to check their eligibility. The season one will airdrop a total of 70,000,000 $DYM tokens to various ecosystem users. Certain activities on Ethereum mainnet and layer2s were part of the eligibility criteria, same as activity on Cosmos, Solana and Celestia. Various NFT holders were also eligible for the airdrop, regardless the on-chain activity
What is Dymension? It a similar way to Celestia, Dymension is a network of easily deployable and lightning fast modular blockchains called RollApps. In a similar to a full-stack web application where users interact with RollApps, the Dymension Hub acts as the coordinator for the ecosystem. The RollApps are the interactive applications for the Dymension network, fully customizable for games, DeFi, NFT projects and much more!
The initial launch of Dymension pays tribute to three core pillars of crypto: Culture, Money and Tech! It was Celestia who played an instrumental role in the birth of the modular ecosystem and the users who staked at least one TIA in Celestia as of December 19, 2023 qualified for a share of 20,000,000 DYM tokens.
Arbitrum and Optimism also been key players in advancing rollup technology. Some fortunate users, as well as those of Base and Blast, will share 1% of the total supply. Eligibility for this allocation is based on user activity on rollups, funds in multi-sig bridge contracts, and previous airdrop lists. The 10,000,000 DYM serves as both a gesture of appreciation and an invitation to experience a standardized and natively integrated rollup platform.

Cosmos has always been pioneer in the app-chain thesis and many important contributions to Dymension come from the Cosmos ecosystem. ATOM and OSMO stakers were eligible to receive a part of the 17,500,000 DYM. Solana’s success in building a dedicated community and exceptional experience has shaped the product vision and future trajectory of Dymension, and user of protocols were allocated 10,000,000 DYM.
Crypto is fundamentally about people, playing a foundational role of culture. Bad Kids, Mad Lads, Tensorians and Pudgy Penguins holders were allocated 12,500,000 DYM on genesis.
The interesting part is that 2,500,000 DYM will be allocated to users who bridge tokens to the Dymension network. The incentive program is dedicated to establishing the liquidity layer of Dymension. How will this program work? It’s simple. When you bridge whitelisted tokens, you have the option to lock the tokens, immediately unlockable at any time, and receive DYM as rewards. These DYM rewards will be delivered straight to your account.
The evolution is here and staking $TIA was the best decision I made last year! This move made me eligible for perpetual airdrops and this may be just the beginning.
