Hemoglobin Level: Nature has given us a variety of foods, fruits, vegetables and herbs, which are rich in all types of vitamins and minerals and are sufficient to meet our daily requirements. By using these, there is no need for our body to depend on vitamin pills.

However, if one focuses on eating a healthy diet everyday and still is struggling with the problem of low hemoglobin, it means that there is a deficiency of iron in the body.

These days many people and especially women are suffering from iron deficiency, which leads to problems like anemia and low hemoglobin count.



Anemia is a blood related disease which is caused by the deficiency of hemoglobin and red blood cells in the blood.
This results from low iron levels in the body, which can lead to fatigue and weakness. But this is a problem that can be overcome only by taking iron-rich diet.

1. Beet

Beetroot is rich in iron, copper, phosphorus, magnesium, hemoglobin level and vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12 and C.

There are many ways to include beetroot in your diet. Add about 1 cup of chopped beetroot in a blender, blend well, strain the juice and add one teaspoon of lemon juice and drink this wonderful juice regularly in the morning.
Lemon juice is rich in Vitamin C.



2. Raisins and Dates

This wonderful dry fruit combination is rich in iron, magnesium, copper and vitamins A and C. This will go a long way in boosting your immune system and promoting iron absorption.

You should eat these nuts regularly in a certain quantity. Consume 3 to 5 dates and a tablespoon of raisins daily to instantly boost your energy and iron levels.



3. Green Lentil Khichdi

Green Moong Dal Khichdi is loaded with nutrients, which definitely pump up the iron stores and improve energy levels.

It is a simple and quick recipe and a tummy friendly comfort food for all seasons. This khichdi has the right mix of protein and good carbohydrates.

This khichdi of spinach and lentils cooked with whole spices serves as a wholesome meal.



4. Sesame seeds

Sesame seeds are loaded with iron, copper, zinc, selenium, vitamins B6, E and folate.
Daily consumption of black sesame seeds works to increase hemoglobin levels and promote iron absorption.

Experts recommend that after roasting about 1 tablespoon of black sesame seeds, mix it with a teaspoon of honey and make laddoos and eat it.
One laddu daily is very beneficial to increase your iron level.



5. Moringa Leaves

Moringa leaves are the leaves of the same plant from which you get the drumsticks used in South Indian foods like sambar.

Moringa leaves are loaded with a good amount of Vitamin A, C, magnesium and iron. Take 1 teaspoon of moringa leaf powder every morning on an empty stomach and see the change in you.
