Although it seems like something out of a cyberespionage novel, the Remilia project has been shaken to its foundations. Krishna Okhandiar, better known in the digital world as Charlotte Fang, has reported a devastating hack that has left the project's treasury without millions in ether and a variety of NFTs. This incident is not only a blow to confidence in the security of cryptocurrencies, but also a reminder of the fragility of trust in the virtual world.

News of the hack spread quickly when Dumpster DAO, a user of social platform X, shared a screenshot of a message from Okhandiar lamenting that his wallet had been "drained".

The address involved in the theft had begun liquidating assets linked to the Remilia project, transferring $1 million in ether to a secondary wallet. At the time of writing, the hacker's wallet still contained nearly $1 million worth of ether, along with several other tokens. The exact method used by the attackers to compromise Remilia's treasury remains a mystery. However, blockchain security firm Peckshield has traced an initial transfer from Remilia's treasury wallet to the hacker's wallet, suggesting a possible clue to uncovering the mechanics of the hack.

Krishna Okhandiar, also known online as Charlotte Fang, is a controversial figure in the world of Web3. Founder of the Milady Maker and Bonkler projects, she has been at the center of several scandals. Recently, she filed a lawsuit against two former contractors. She alleges that these individuals stole $1 million in cryptocurrency along with the proprietary code for the Bonkler NFT collection. Additionally, it is alleged that they attempted to take control of the social media accounts and intellectual property of Remilia, the company she founded.

With this apparent robbery the situation becomes more intriguing as the details of the incident are unraveled. According to Fang, the hack occurred in the middle of the night, when most of Remilia's team was out of commission. Fang has revealed that the most affected cryptocurrencies were Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple, and that they represented a significant portion of Remilia's treasury, amplifying the devastating impact of the hack.
