1930 WORLD CUP

The 1930 FIFA World Cup was the first tournament of the FIFA World Cup and was held in Uruguay from 13 July to 30 July 1930. This tournament was the first international football tournament organized by FIFA.

Among the teams participating in the tournament, there were a total of 13 national teams, 7 from South America, 4 from Europe and 2 from North America. The reason why so few teams from Europe participated was because travel was difficult and expensive at the time.

1934 WORLD CUP

1938 WORLD CUP

The 1938 FIFA World Cup was held in France between 4-19 June 1938. This is the second time the World Cup has been held in Europe.

15 teams participated in the tournament. Interestingly, strong teams from South America such as Argentina and Uruguay did not participate in this tournament. This was seen as a reaction to the World Cup being held in Europe twice in a row and the travel costs.
