What is VM?
VM = Virtual Machine
EVM is also Ethereum Virtual Machine


This machine, just like other machines, allows transactions in Ethereum.
Sending ETH and swapping from Uniswap are all tasks and run the EVM. And the harder the EVM works, the more you pay. Therefore, there is a big difference in fees between sending ETH directly and adding liquidity, for example, because adding liquidity makes the EVM work more.
In Solana, VMs have the capacity to perform parallel processing. Monad EVM is an L1 that runs in parallel, I think Arbitrum and Scroll will also run on parallel EVM soon.

We can work on Monad testnet and airdrop. You can join discord channels. You can get it from suitable roles. If there is one( u can check at discord channels), you can join the galxe campaigns. You can make transactions on the testnet.
