Ophelia Lucy Lovibond, an English performer born on February 19, 1986, has made a name for herself in various productions. Her portrayals include Carina in the cinematic hit Guardians of the Galaxy, Izzy Gould in the BBC series W1A, Joyce Prigger in Starz's Minx, and Kitty Winter in CBS's Elementary.


Ophelia Lovibond was raised in Shepherd's Bush, London, within a single-parent household. Her mother held the position of a chartered psychologist at Wormwood Scrubs Prison. Lovibond has both a brother and a sister. She received her education at Latymer Upper School on a scholarship and was also involved with the Young Blood theatre company, a youth drama club located in Hammersmith. In 2008, she successfully graduated from the University of Sussex with a degree in English Literature.


Lovibond's debut on television occurred when she was just 12 years old in the Channel 4 sitcom The Wilsons, where she admitted to lying about her age to secure the role.
Following that, she appeared in Elliot Hegarty's FM and the British period drama Heartbeat. Notably, she portrayed Izzy Gould in the BBC satire W1A.
Lovibond gained recognition as Sherlock's new apprentice, Kitty Winter, in season 3 of Elementary, and she made further appearances in season 5 and season 7.
In 2016, she took on the role of Lady Alexandra Lindo-Parker in the Sky1 series Hooten & The Lady.


Her guest role as MI6 agent Emma Davies in the 2019 series Whiskey Cavalier showcased her versatility.
Currently, she shines as Joyce Prigger in the HBO/STARZ comedy series Minx.

Lovibond's venture into film began with her debut in Roman Polanski's Oliver Twist in 2005. She further expanded her filmography with a role in the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy. Notably, she assumed a leading role in the film 4.3.2.1 and appeared in various 2011 productions including London Boulevard, No Strings Attached, and Mr. Popper's Penguins.
In the BFI/BBC film adaptation of the award-winning novel, 8 Minutes Idle, Lovibond portrayed the character Teri. She also notably depicted Carina, The Collector's slave, in the 2014 film Guardians of the Galaxy.


In 2015, Lovibond marked her professional stage debut in the revival of Lucy Prebble's The Effect, under the direction of Daniel Evans. The subsequent year, she portrayed Elizabeth Barry in Stephen Jeffreys' The Libertine at London's esteemed Theatre Royal Haymarket.
Her theatrical journey continued in 2017 with her portrayal of Lois, the titular character, in Githa Sowerby's The Stepmother. Following that, she took on the role of Lou in Barney Norris's 2018 play Nightfall and starred in the revival of David Hare's The Bay at Nice.
