I have previously spoken about why it is very important to eat healthy as it can contribute to our living in a lot of ways. But, let's break it down a bit. A very fundamental part of eating healthy involves eating fruits. Fruits contain a lot of vitamins and nutrients which can go a long way in ensuring we live healthily. I will explain the benefits of eating some of our most common fruits.

Oranges: Oranges are high in vitamins and minerals, making them a nutritious powerhouse. The most notable is vitamin C, a water-soluble antioxidant that protects cells from harm. The vitamin C in orange offers additional health benefits:

  • In your bones, it helps to form blood vessels, muscles, cartilage, and collagen.
  • Reduces the severity of illnesses such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer by fighting inflammation.
  • Increases the body's immune system's ability to fight infections and bacteria.

Orange fiber can also help control blood sugar levels and lower cholesterol, which can help avoid cardiovascular disease. Potassium, a mineral that governs heartbeat and muscle function, is abundant in oranges. It has been demonstrated to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
These and a host of others are the numerous benefits Oranges have to offer.

Interesting article! Oranges belong to the fruit type named berries because it has many seeds unlike the drupes that have only one seed. Oranges are one of the most common fruits in my country. It doesn't have a season. They are very nutritious and help to fasten food digestion. They can help to ease the removal of excreta. I think it's is one of the fruits affordable by both the poor and the rich.
