Web3 Protocols
Most Web3 protocols are terrible at explaining what they actually do.
I analyzed 3 of them. Here’s what I found 🧵
UNISWAP
Uniswap positions itself as the simplest way to trade crypto without intermediaries.
• Core value: Swap tokens directly from your wallet
• Target: Retail traders & DeFi users
• Complexity is medium
Aave
Aave markets itself as a liquidity protocol for earning and borrowing.
• Core value: Earn interest or borrow crypto
• Target: Yield seekers & advanced DeFi users
• Complexity is medium–High

What I learned as a Web3 content writer:
>Most protocols lead with technical language
> Users care about outcomes, not mechanisms
>Clarity increases trust
>Simplicity increases adoption
If you can simplify Web3 without dumbing it down, you’re valuable.
If you’re trying to navigate Web3 without getting lost in technical noise…
Follow TheIlluminance.
I simplify what others overcomplicate.
