The role of a miner in Blockchain

I talked about how the consensus algorithm works in blockchain but for it to be successful, a miner is needed.

A miner in Blockchain is a person that ensures fairness and keeps the network stable and secure. They do this using special softwares to solve mathematical problems.

Just like the example of the team members I used when explaining how the consensus algorithm works, there's a special person on the team who counts the votes, that special person is called the miner.

This miner's job is to make sure the blocks are added to the box in the right order, and they also get a reward for doing this job. The miner has to solve a tricky maths puzzle to add these blocks.

It's like figuring out a secret code to open a treasure box and once they solve the puzzle, they announce it to everyone else in the room, and if everyone agrees that they solved it correctly, they get to add the blocks to the box and this is called "mining".

Here's the catch: these puzzles are really hard, so the miners have to use a lot of energy and computer power to solve them.

The first miner to solve the puzzle gets to add the blocks to the box and receives a reward, like a special coin, for their hard work.

Just like many who mined Notcoin, they'll be rewarded for their hard work. 😅

So when you're asked about mining, you know what it is.
