Slash Card may be implementing a bridge function for Ethereum USDC to Solana
SLASH VISION, the developer of Slash Card, announced on the 25th (Japan Standard Time) that a new ‘Bridge Feature’ has been implemented.
This feature enables users to bridge USDC on the Ethereum network directly within the app to USDC on the Solana network, allowing it to be used for Slash Card payments
Bridging to Solana from within the wallet is a new feature made possible by the adoption of the ‘Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP)’ provided by the US company Circle, making it easy to bridge between USDC on the ETH chain and USDC on the SOL chain
Regarding fees, whilst there are no gas fees or exchange rate charges, a small, variable fee is incurred via the CCTP. The user interface allows users to check a fee estimate before executing the bridge, and Slash will cover the gas fees.
