Tortoise and the Free Rice 🐢🍚
One market day, Tortoise heard that the King was sharing free rice.
He ran home and told his wife: `Imeela! Food don land!`
He got to the palace late. The rice don finish.
But he saw one pot still steaming.
Tortoise shouted: `Ezi mgbede your majesty! I meela nke ọma for this food o!`
The King laughed and said: `I kelewo. You came late but your mouth sweet. Take the last pot.`
On his way home, Tortoise was dancing. He met Rabbit.
*Rabbit:* `Where you carry that rice?`
*Tortoise:* `Na because I sabi greet people. I say Ezi mgbede and I meela nke ọma. Na mouth dey carry person go market.`
Rabbit went to try it the next day. But he shouted: `Give me rice!`
Guards chased him 😂
*Moral:* How you talk to people matters. `Ezi mgbede` and `I meela` fit open doors.
