What Happens When Your Attention Becomes an Asset?

You scroll. Someone earns. You react. Someone earns. You comment. Someone earns. You create something valuable. A platform earns from the attention around it.

But here’s the question nobody asks often enough:

What does the person creating all that value actually get?

The internet has trained us to create for likes, followers, views and algorithms. We give platforms our attention, our creativity and sometimes our best ideas, while the real value created around that activity can move somewhere else.

That’s what caught my attention about BULB.

The interesting part isn’t simply that BULB uses crypto. It’s the idea behind the ecosystem: your activity as a reader, writer, reactor, commenter or sharer can contribute to your rewards.

That changes the way I look at “engagement.”
Maybe engagement shouldn't just be a number underneath a post.

Maybe it should be part of the value you create.

I’m still exploring BULB, so I’m not here to pretend I have everything figured out.

I’m here to test the idea.

And I want to see one thing for myself:

Can consistent creativity actually become an asset?

For years, social media taught creators to chase reach.

10K followers.
100K views.
1M impressions.

But numbers alone don't necessarily mean ownership.

A creator can spend years building an audience and still have very little control over the platform, the algorithm or the value generated by that attention.

That’s why I’m interested in experimenting with platforms like BULB.

Not because I think every new platform automatically succeeds.

But because I think the experiment itself is worth watching.

As Omari Blck, I’m coming into this from the creative side: AI, digital content, visual storytelling, video and ideas.

I want to see what happens when I combine that creativity with a community where writing, reading and genuine engagement are designed to matter.

No shortcuts.
No fake engagement.
No pretending.
Just create → participate → learn → improve → repeat.
