Chelsea ready to pay £60m for Everton's Gordon | Furthers Auba talks
Anthony Gordon of Everton is now being pursued by Chelsea for a price of up to £60 million.
This summer, Everton has taken the stance that the player is not for sale. The whole worth of a potential deal, including add-ons, is the £60 million fee that is being prepared.
Everton turned down Chelsea's initial offer of between £40 million and £45 million earlier this month for the 21-year-old. However, discussions between the two clubs have continued, and the London club is now ready to raise its offer. Gordon, whose current Everton agreement expires in June 2025, is still open to additional terms.
Chelsea is currently in advanced negotiations to buy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona, and all sides are hopeful that a deal can be reached. Chelsea supporters are optimistic that the purchase will go through even though it is taking some time since it will empower their squad even more as EPL games get more difficult.
