Introducing the latest product upgrade in Mocana — SHARD RUSH.
But first, let’s regroup, because a lot has happened in the last few months.
When we launched Moca ID, we said “This will be your on-chain identity”.
When we launched RP, we said “Stack your Realm Points and level up to access exclusive benefits”
When we launched Invite Codes, we said “Invite the right people into our community and you will be rewarded with 5% of bonus Attributed RP”
Since then, we’ve been slowly building out the Mocana experience with the addition of the dashboard and other account management tools.
Now, let’s find out how it all ties together 👇
Starting from Jan 30, login to the Moca ID portal (My Account → Referral System → Shard Rush) to access the Shard Rush page.

Section 1: Fortnight Mining Summary
This is the section that shows the overall summary of your earnings within the Mining Period.

Mining Period: Each Mining Period is 14 days. Start and end times are indicated here
Attributed RP Earned: Total Attributed RP earned within this Mining Period from all referees
Attributed RP from Top 5 Referees: Total Attributed RP earned within this Mining Period from your top 5 referees
Shards Generated: The number of Shards you generated within this Mining Period. You can accumulate a maximum of 1000 Shards per claim. There is no limit to # of claims in each Mining Period
Successful Referrals: Number of successful referrals within this Mining Period. Successful invites means your referee minted using your Invite Code and earned at least 1 RP within the same Mining Period (Attribtued RP does not count)
The first Shard Mining Period will run from Jan 30 to Feb 13.
Section 2: Shard Mining Goals
In this section, you’re presented with the Base Goal Challenge — Invite 2 friends.

Once you’ve completed the Base Goal, the orb will be activated at the next hour and begin generating Shards at an earning rate of +1 every hour for the current period + the next 2 mining periods.
i.e. If User A completes the Base Goal at 10:05AM and User B completes the Base Goal at 10:55AM, Shard generation & claiming will begin at 11AM for both Users.
You can then move on to the Advanced Goals:

Advanced Goal #1 — Successful Referrals
Complete each milestone by accumulating Success Referrals
Success Referrals Definition:
Referee used your Invite Code to mint the Moca ID
Referee earned at least 1 RP (Mission RP only, Attributed RP doesn’t count) within the same Mining Period (e.g. By completing the Link a Twitter account Mission)
Advanced Goal #2 — Attributed RP earned by Top 5 Referees
Encourage your referees to participate in Missions to earn RP. You’ll receive 5% bonus Attributed RP based on how much they earned!
As you meet each milestone for both Advanced Goal #1 & 2, your earning rate will increase by +1 every hour (new earning rate refreshes every hour). The earning rate maxes out at +11 every hour and will reset at the beginning of every Mining Period.

Section 3: Invite Code Mining Goals
Used all your invite Codes already? No worries, here’s a bunch of ways you can mine more to share with your network.

More Goals will be unlocked as you complete the Base Goal. Each Goal can only be completed once in each Mining Period. The maximum Invite Codes you can get is +20 per Mining Period.
Invite Codes will be automatically added to your dashboard as you complete goals. No claiming is required. Go to My Account → Moca Friends to check the latest redemption status. All Invite Codes generated in the same Mining Period will be marked with a “NEW”.
Important Points:
Within Your Account, you can view your available Invite Codes
Each Moca ID can only hold 15 unused Invite Codes at a time. If you exceed the limit of 15, the dashboard will not display the newly generated Codes until you consume from the existing list
You can still complete Invite Code Mining Goals when your Invite Code vault is full, but Codes will not be added until there are available slots.
Unclaimed Invite Codes will be forfeited at the end of each Mining Period, so ensure that you continuously invite friends to maximize your earnings
Claiming Shards

The generator can accumulate up to 1000 Shards. Once it hits 1000 Shards, generation will be paused until claimed
Once you’ve claimed the Shards, generation will resume at the previous rate
There is no limit to how many claims you can make in each Mining Period
There is no gas fee required for claiming Shards
Accumulated Shards will remain claimable, regardless of the number of remaining Shards indicated in the generator. If the Mining Period ends, you will need to claim all accumulated Shards before the generator will work again.
All Users share the same total Shard Pool, so the sooner you start to generate, the more Shards you can secure!
What do the Shards Do?
The Shards will allow you to craft one of two things. To be announced in the next product update.

Q1. What are the differences between the goals?
A1. There are 3 types of goals. You may find more details about each goal in the above article. Goal TLDR:
Base Goal: Must be completed to start generating Shards.
Advanced Goals: To increase the shard generation speed. Advanced Goals are only unlocked after Base Goal is completed.
Invite Code Mining Goals: To generate new invite codes. These goals can be completed anytime even when the Base Goal is not completed.
Q2. Do I earn RP from mining Shards?
A2. Users will earn RP from Attributed RP (i.e. you earn RP when your friends earn RP). However, the action of shard generation / mining invite codes itself is not RP-bearing.
Q3. What are the Shards for?
A3. The Shards are a core resource that will play a significant role in the coming feature that we will be releasing. Stay tuned for announcements.
Q4. Why is my Shard count not increasing?
A4. It may be due to one of the following reasons:
You have not completed the Base Goal yet. Complete the Base Goal and Shards will begin generating again.
You have accumulated 1000 Shards but have yet to claim them. Claim your Shards and Shards will begin generating again.
You have not claimed your generated Shards from the previous Mining Period. Claim your Shards from their previous Mining Period, and Shards will begin generating for the current Mining Period.
Q5. What is the total supply of Shards per Mining Period?
A5. The Shard pool will be set at the start of each Mining Period, and will be subject to increment during the period and across Mining Periods. Announcements will be made should there be an increment.
Q6. I referred friends as a Mocaverse NFT or Moca ID holder before the launch of Shard Rush. Do I earn any Shards?
A6. Yes. Mocaverse NFT holders and all users who have referred friends successfully before the launch of Shard Rush will also receive Shards. Stay tuned to announcements for details.
