AI Takeover for Social Engagement Undermines Collaboration
I recently noticed how many posts and comments are created using AI. Unfortunately, I see this ingenuine content on LinkedIn where I am most active in communicating and collaborating with peers and professionals. Sadly, it is undermining how the cybersecurity community can work together.
For the record, I create all my own posts. The thoughts are original and the comments are my own — for better or worse (…the sarcasm and dry humor is a free bonus)!
I have had several companies approach me to automate my LinkedIn content, comments, etc. and frankly that scares me. I am here for a reason — to engage with my fellow cybersecurity professionals to explore, ideate, communicate, and foster collaboration in unity against cyber threats that seek to undermine the trust of our global digital ecosystem!
Having an AI agent create content and responses does nothing to helping cybersecurity advance and adapt to the ever-changing challenges we face.
So, for the foreseeable future, it will be my fingers typing my thoughts and mental meanderings. Fair warning for anyone using AI to try and interpret my writings without proper context, as it may come out gibberish!
