Don't quit your job (yet). Start your business as a side project to test the waters without the financial pressure.
· Offer to do it for free (once). For a service-based business, your first client should be free in exchange for a detailed testimonial and a case study. This is your "social proof."
· Master the art of the pitch. Can you explain what you do and who it's for in one clear, compelling sentence? If you can't, your customers won't get it either.
