Finding out what is causing this drop in motivation is the first thing you should do when you see it. What kinds of pressures have you recently faced that might have weakened your resolve? Are you worn out from working too many long hours? Have issues in your personal relationships caused you stress or exhaustion?

Have you had to cope with too many situations that tempt or trigger you if you are in recovery from addiction? Prior to having a clear understanding of your existing situation, you cannot take proactive measures to improve it. You'll feel more in control and be more equipped to deal with the problem once you understand how you arrived at the point of wanting to give up.

Your mind is an endless source of ideas

Every idea you have should be viewed as a suggestion rather than a command. My mind is telling me that I'm exhausted right now. It implies that I should give up. It advises me to choose a simpler route.

However, if I take a moment to pause, I can generate fresh ideas. My subconscious is also telling me that once I finish this task, I will feel quite proud of myself. It implies that when I adhere to the schedule, I will respect the identity I am creating. It implies that even when I don't feel like it, I can complete this task.

Giving in to the ease of distraction or conquering the discomfort of discipline must always be balanced in life. To argue that this delicate balance defines our lives and our identities is not an exaggeration. What is life if not the accumulation of a million little choices on whether to fight through them or give up?

At this time, do you not feel like working? We shouldn't waste this opportunity. This is not a practice run. Your life right now is as important as every other moment. Spend money in a manner that will inspire pride in you.
