How to Make Apple Baklava Recipe?

  1. For the syrup, put water and sugar in a small pot, stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, boil for 5 minutes and remove from the stove.
  2. For the stuffing, grate the apples with their peels and squeeze the juice with your palm. Add grated coarsely chopped walnuts, cinnamon, new spice and nutmeg to the juiced apples, mix and keep aside.
  3. Melt the butter, skim off the foam and mix with oil.
  4. First, oil a medium-sized rectangular tray and oil half of the phyllo dough one by one and place them neatly on the tray. Spread the apple mixture in the middle, oil the remaining phyllo dough again and arrange them in layers.
  5. Remove the edges of the baklava you prepared with a sharp knife and slice it into desired sizes. Drizzle with the remaining oil and bake in a hot fan oven at 180 degrees for about 30-40 minutes until the top and bottom are golden brown.
  6. Let the cooked baklava sit at room temperature for 2 minutes and pour hot, not boiling sherbet over it.
  7. Let the baklava rest until it reaches room temperature and serve. Enjoy your meal.
