Word of the day - Week 7 2024

Each week I post a summary of words that have been lingering around in my prayers, meditations, thoughts, interactions, etc. Posting these words helps me to set specific intentions, reflect on different topics, and connect with my inner knowing on a deeper level. I explain what each word meant to me in that specific week. With these posts, I want to encourage others to be more aware of their thoughts and feelings, and to put more intent into their lives by reflecting (and possibly) writing about their experiences. I am hoping the intentional art of writing will be brought to everyone. Writing has changed my life in many different ways. I wish for you the same 🪷

Last week was a busy but good one. I released my first ever collection to the public. It surreal, but I was so proud of myself last Wednesday. Last week was all about gratitude and making small and steady steps into the future. These words strolled around last week. Didn't post every day, so I'm diving a bit deeper into the few words I did post.

The words of week 7

Yield
Approval
Community
Together

The strolling words of last week. They brought me deep into topics about trust, vulnerability, connection, community and authenticity.

Its so easy to get caught up in everything you don't have. Yielding towards the blessings that life gives instead of questioning and controlling all of it. Make sure you know you are worth the good things. Invite them, allow them, yield into them 🍃 Yielding into the good is another perspective of the glass being half full. Just try it, trust it, be it.

This topic has been on my mind for a very long time. Its no wonder that it keeps coming back, because people around me, sharing their stories all struggle with getting validation from places where approval does not need to come from. We compare ourselves and with people we don't even really know and connect with. External validation is like poison. If you struggle with comparing yourself with others, at least do it with people from who you can learn something. The best scenario is when you can validate yourself from one source only, and that is yourself. Approval of others is non of your concern. Take care of yourself, so you can hear yourself and act in a way you of approve of. You sleep way better at night. I'm talking from my own experience with approval and validation.

That brings me to the topic of community. If you want to grow, you grow together. Some things can only be experienced, changed and healed, when you connect with yourself and others. I've been in a few spaces and for reasons practicing with a different approach to connection. This has brought me new ideas and access to people. The weekend ended with me being and feeling very keen to get into the topic of community. Someone I met at a community event replied on a story of mine, mentioning the importance of community especially in places used to individualism. I loved meeting new art creators and lovers. Also lots meeting many entrepreneurs working hard on their mastery.
I will be researching and sharing more about this topic. Keep checking back on my profile for new reads.

Community is the concept of together. Linking to concepts like commonalities, differences, trust, safety, vulnerability and authenticity. I bought a cap last weekend with the text "outdoors together". The colors and the word just keep me busy.

I love playing with words and written language. Especially discovering words and lingo I don't often use. Feel free to drop any words you have been feeling into the past (few) week(s) in the comments. Who knows we might learn from each other 🪷

I wish you a great new week❣️
