Even though it is illegal in the country where the 2022 World Cup will occur, Bitcoin will be there.

The sole ad-supported cryptocurrency firm at Worlds 2022 will be Crypto.com.

By 2020, Qatar will have outlawed any cryptocurrency trade, including bitcoin.

Football's governing body FIFA has announced that cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com will be a sponsor of the Qatar World Cup in 2018.

According to the sports poster, the exchange, along with companies like Coca-Cola, Adidas, Hyundai, and Visa, will be the only cryptocurrency corporation permitted to market its brand inside and outside competition stadiums.

The press statement said that "substantial exposure" would be gained for the platform.

Second, the FIFA World Cup is the most-watched athletic event on worldwide television networks, only the Olympic Games.

More than 517 million people watched 2018 final, according to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Cryptocurrency trading is banned in the host countries of this year's 2022 Soccer World Cup. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, including peer-to-peer trades, will be outlawed in Qatar by early 2020.

The Qatari financial authorities said that its objective was to prevent:

"anything of value that operates as a replacement for money can be exchanged or transferred digitally, and may be used for payment or investment reasons."

The above might serve as an explanation for Crypto.com's marketing approach during the FIFA World Cup.

As stated in the company's official announcement, new and returning customers will be able to win match tickets and other branded products.

Direct marketing of their Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency trading goods and services is absent from this statement.

The company has lately launched a campaign to get sponsorships in the entertainment and sports industries.

Formula One, mixed martial arts, and soccer are among the sports where the transaction is said to be taking place, according to CriptoNoticias.

There will be a FIFA World Cup in Qatar this year, which begins on November 21 and runs through December 18.
