WHY TORTOISE HEAD IS INSIDE SHELL

Long time ago, Tortoise head was outside like lizard. He was very proud.

He would walk and be shouting, "I fine pass everybody! Look my head!"

One day, there was big meeting of all animals because there was no rain.

Lion said, "We need to send somebody to beg God for rain."

All animals were afraid to go to heaven, because road is far.

Tortoise said, "I will go! I am the finest and the smartest!"

He started waka. He waka for 7 days, 7 nights. He reached God's gate.

God asked, "Who are you?"

Tortoise: "I am the finest animal on earth!"

God said, "Okay, what do you want?"

Tortoise: "We want rain."

God said, "No problem. But first, help me spread this mat I just bought."

God brought out a very beautiful mat. Tortoise looked at mat and said in his mind, "This mat fine! If I carry am go earth, all animals go say I fine pass!"

While God went inside to bring rain, Tortoise stole the mat, rolled it, and ran.

He was running down to earth very fast.

God came out, saw mat is gone. He looked down, saw Tortoise running with it.

God shouted, "THIEF!"

God threw stone at Tortoise. The stone hit Tortoise head.

GBAM!

Tortoise head entered inside his body from shame and pain.

He tried to bring it out, but it only came out small small.

That is why till today, Tortoise head dey inside shell, and anytime you shout at him, he will hide it again.

Because thief no dey like make dem see him face.
