THE TWO FRIENDS AND THE MEAT
Chinedu and Emeka are best friends from childhood in Onitsha.
One day they went to a party. At the party, they served meat - one big meat per person.
Chinedu ate his own meat very fast. He looked at Emeka's plate. Emeka's meat was still there.
Chinedu: "Guy, you no dey eat your meat?"
Emeka: "I dey keep am, I want enjoy am last."
Chinedu: "You know say meat no like person wey keep am? E go spoil."
Emeka: "No worry."
Chinedu kept looking at the meat. After 10 minutes, he said, "Guy, make I help you hold the meat, make e no fall for ground."
Emeka: "No."
Chinedu: "Okay, make I just dey protect am from fly."
Before Emeka could answer, Chinedu carried the meat and ate it.
Emeka: "CHINEDU! YOU ATE MY MEAT!"
Chinedu, chewing: "I was protecting it. The protection was too protective, it entered my stomach for safety."
Emeka vexed and didn't talk to him for 2 weeks.
After 2 weeks, Emeka cooked soup at home - with plenty meat.
He called Chinedu: "Guy, come chop."
Chinedu came happily. He opened the pot of soup. He saw only one meat inside.
Chinedu: "Ah, why only one meat?"
Emeka smiled: "I was protecting all the other meats. The protection was too protective, it entered MY stomach for safety."
Since then, Chinedu never touch another person's meat again.
